Northern Rivers Performing Arts
(NORPA)

NORPA (Northern Rivers Performing Arts) is a regional theatre company based on Bundjalung Country in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, creating and presenting contemporary performance that is deeply rooted in place, community, and Country. It is known for blending classic and new Australian work with original, locally developed productions that respond to the social, cultural, and environmental realities of the region. NORPA works collaboratively with artists, First Nations communities, and local partners to tell stories that resonate beyond the theatre, often drawing on site-specific performance, immersive forms, and cross-artform practice.
